Are we allowed to use grease/lube on our robot?

Yes, but don’t use aerosol lubricant. Also, use it in moderation.

A quick search of the Game Manual for “grease” yields:

<R7> Certain non-VEX EDR components are allowed. Robots are allowed the following additional “non-VEX” components:

a. Any material strictly used as a color filter or a color marker for a VEX Light Sensor.
b. Any non-aerosol based grease or lubricating compound, when used in extreme moderation on

surfaces and locations that do NOT contact the playing field walls, foam field surface, Cubes, or other Robots.
