Wouldn’t it be interesting if the head judge for every tournament was experienced and had never met any other the teams or judges at the event? Allegations of impartiality would be out the window. I really like this idea, but I’m curious if it would work long term.

That’d be awesome.
However you might not be able to do 1:1 region pairing, since some regions are much much larger than others (e.g. NorCal is much larger than Illinois)
