I picked up some of the new 1/4" metal to play with. I’ve decided that my project is to hack the claw to expand the gripping to hold one of the Clean Sweep footballs. I’m thinking of having a long part as the base with two short solid sections at each end. The claw “fingers” would be attached to these parts to do the gripping. The fingers won’t be able to touch, but the wider span should let them grasp the football, and maybe the green balls.
Has anyone else “hacked the claw”? There have been discussions in the past, but nothing very solid.
