Half-cut 3 Inch Flex Wheels

Good Afternoon,

I am getting some new 3 in. flex wheels from a local team soon for my intake hooks, but they are the full sized 1 in. wide. I would like to cut them to be 1/2 in. wide, because that seems to be better for this usage. The only materials we have to cut things are a dremmel and a hand saw. Any advice?

Since the rubber of the flex wheel is so soft, my team has had the best luck using abox cutter with the blade extended ~2 inches and some sort of half inch thick guide to run the knife along.

you’d definitely be better off with a thin, sharp knife than a saw or something spinning.
