Today we built a robot specifically designed for checking if a robot is high hanging or low hanging. The top of the robot is the height of low hanging and the trailer the height of high hanging. It is rather pointless but we got a little bored today…
p.s it would be cool to deploy the hanging checker robot after matches to check!
Thats cool. Great for practice however you have to remember a robot isn’t hanging based on its height above the floor it is based on its height relative to the rungs. More ladder “sinkage” = less height required to hang.
I would like to see this in action we should have one of these at all compition
There might be problems using it in competitions, mainly the fact that it might mess with the field layout, so they would need to put in a whole bunch more procedures.
