Has anyone ran a PID config using EasyC V5?

My teams that I coach are using EasyC V5 currently. Although we are going to switch to RobotC, we do not have time to dive into RobotC like we need to. So… Has anyone used the PID functions in EasyC V5?
One of the locals and I have discussed that EasyC PID loops will not be a true PID function. Regardless… has anyone used it? Results?
