Are custom metal components, for example, carabinders, allowed? It’s not provided by vex but custom metal pieces?

Reread r6 and r7. It says what you may and maynot use to build your robot.

Carabiners are illegal. In VexU, if you can machine it, it is legal, but not at all legal in HS or MS

This implies that you machine it from already legal material, which in your case would be any of the legal metal components. As long as you’re machining from for example, a c channel or something, you’ll be fine.

Or you could use zip ties. If you really want carabiners you could try bending an axle into a carabiner
