My robot’s drivetrain is drifting. It is always the same side each time. It looks like the motor is weak. But I replaced the motor with another one and the problem kept happening. It mostly happens when the robot is driving backwards. It does not happen every time. I will drive straight back for about 5 seconds, and it will turn 90 degrees to the left. I am doing driver control and am using the default split arcade code. The wheels seem like they have too much friction on them, but the robot is symmetrical and the weight is distributed evenly. I am using a very modified hero bot.
Im vex v5 and i had the same issue. I would check if your wheels are rubbing on anything and make sure your axöe is straight. It looks like you have chain for the drive and i wouldn‘t recommend it because there is a possibility it could break. I would use gears for that. Hope this helps and good luck

It might be from the rubber band you don’t have attached.

That’s from the catapult. I realized that it was detached as soon as I took the picture, but since it wasn’t from the drivetrain, I didn’t retake the photo. Thanks though!

Thanks! The axles weren’t straight, so I fixed it.
