Our team is having a problem with our VEX V5 brain. Every time we plug in a usb cable to try download the latest software update or download code, the brain freezes and can only be turned off by unplugging the battery. We have tried to factory reset the brain but it still does not work. We have emailed vex support just now. Do you have any suggestions to how to fix this?
Can you connect successfully to brain through V5 Controller?
The Robot Brain may have a coding error and may be defunct. Try seeing if the issue persists with different brains (if some are available).
Try the old kerosene + lighter trick.
Define freezing, like is the brain stuck on one frame and refuses to do anything? what page is it stuck on? is there a specific thing you do right before it freezes?
This might help find if the problem is a hardware or something else issue
