Hey everyone! I am Austin from the 944B team from Chesapeake High School in Baltimore County Maryland. I noticed that our team has been a little isolated from the outside world in terms of sharing information and helping others teams outside of competitions. Be on the look out for anything from conceptual sketches to videos of robot performance! Also, feel free to ask for any help that you may need. And to all of the Mid-Atlantic region, I hope you have fun at the competition tomorrow!
Hello Austin, welcome to the forum. I look forward to seeing your robot videos.
Hey nice to see more new people on the vex forum.
If you have a skype account add tabor473.
In the mean time, here are some of our brainstorming ideas that…never came to life. :C
This is one of the ideas we have for a bot. The idea was to be small and compact. The front scooper would pivot, and dump it into the back scooper which also could pivot and dump into the trough. Why have two? Mostly so you can hold more sacks if you needed to. Plus, it kinda looks cool! (At least I think it does.)
This second one is an idea for a feeder. This wouldn’t work because we couldn’t think of a way to keep the metal in place (to keep the sacks from getting stuck in between the leg wheels). Essentially what would happen is the sacks will go through the opening at the bottom. Leg wheels and flippers will help bring it into a basket. The arm would then raise and you can dump into trough/high goal.
These are just concept drawings… they’re not perfect. : D
You said is very good.
What are you talking about? I don’t see anyone who put “is very good.”
Welcome!!!
