My recommendation would be to separate the team letter from team/club/organization. - think if you have two teams next season… does X really matter then?

For example, do you want middle and high school teams connected? or multiple HS teams?

Connecting with school/district name or mascot might be something to factor in, vs “X”, which is in a lot of team numbers.
