Can your partner hold you up, if your robot does not have the strength to hold a high hang?
As ruled here: https://vexforum.com/t/answered-elevation-hanging-question/34932/1
Yes, that’s completely legal. Of course, that would mean you are effectively disabling two robots instead of just one, which might make a comeback from the opponents more likely.
Thank you
You’re welcome
A new question, what if instead of trying to get yourself positioned under the pole, you just went up backwards to the fence and lifted yourself using the fence? Would that be grappling?
I believe it would be (though I don’t have an official ruling on hand to back that up).
Furthermore, I doubt the fence would be strong enough to hold heavier robots.
@Barin Thats what I thought, my team still needs to figure out how (or even if) we are hanging, currently we are at 15-17 pounds. Still gotta find the perfect way to hang, or be able to get 6 points over in 5 seconds
If you somehow managed hang on the perimeter and then latch onto the hanging bar in thirty seconds or less, I guess it would be, but otherwise no, you cant touch the perimeter during a high hang. You also have to touch the pole.
