We were working on a high hang for our robot and we encountered one major issue. When we have our hook on the intake, the robot is angled enough to flip itself over and stay up, however, when we move the hook so that it lifts the robot enough for a high hang, it does not angle enough and cannot hold itself up. It is able to lift itself, but not stay up there. How have you guys solved this problem if you encountered something similar. FYI, the robot will flip itself over and become upside down in order to hang.
To solve this problem my team constructed a gravity lock so that when the bot was upside down a passive lock would fall into place and hold the bot up. We used a standoff that was mounted on our base that slid into place behind another piece of metal that was on our arm the kept the base from falling
