At my last tournament our team had an issue with the length of our chain bar because it was dropping the cones from about a foot away from the tip of the mobile goal. We decided to shorten it and lengthen our DR4B. The bar is now about 20 holes and it has decent build quality, so I was wondering if I could/should make the motors on the chain bar high speed.
Is it 1:1 or geared?
Its on a 1:5 for torque
If your CB isn’t too long you should be fine using 1:3 HS
I’m just a little hesitant because our team’s state comp is in two weeks, so I’ll probably run 1:5 HS
Do you have turbo gears? Turbo 1:5 is just as fast.
My chainbar is 35 holes and I’m using 1:3 HS. Never had a problem, and very durable. It’s never burned out or anything.
You will absolutely be fine with it.
How many motors?
Oh yeah. 4. But for a small chainbar, 2 HS on 1:3 should be fine
LOL I was about to say, because I was so confused how you would get 1:3 HS on 35 holes with 2 motors. But, I’ll probably be running 2 motor HS 1:5
That’ll work. If you want it to be faster, go turbo or go down to 1:3 and add bands.
