The majority of this season’s intakes are flywheels but my sister teams from last year lost 4/6 white flex wheels at states, I was wondering do you guys have any other ideas of intakes that do not use flex wheels. As of now we are working on 2 treads that will spin fast enough to be used as a intake.

I am confused which game you are talking about? Is it high stakes? If so, Please use the search bar on the fourm to search for “intake” in the VRC or High Stakes categories. (Here’s a hint, think about conveyor belts in addition to the flex wheels)
An intake without flexwheels is tricky but, still doable. I recommend using intake rollers made by vex:
You can also do a hook intake like1000A or JHAWK, both of these intakes funtion without the use of flexwheels and are pretty consistent with tuning.

I would believe that they are talking about high stakes but u never know. If it is regarding high stakes then I saw team that didn’t use flex wheels but it still worked well. It may be a good idea. As for other ideas I recommend looking on YouTube for ideas as there are already teams with amazing robots.

One way to make sure everyone knows what your talking about is to use the “category” feature. This allows you to categorize your post so people AND moderators to know what your talking about or referring to. Once you click this, search “High Stakes” and select "
