high strength shaft sync?

i was wondering if anyone has tried clamping high strength shafts together ,

I think I saw a team use a couple of the small high strength gears for this but I can’t vouch for how well it worked.

If you are using that method of synching two sides of a robot together, just beware of the friction that can be generated when/if the robot frame twists. It might cause more problems than it solves.

We have tried using two high strength gears, but it is very heavy and doesn’t work that well as the axles do bend a bit in the gears. It might be possible to use some high strength shaft collars with some pieces of metal attaching them together.
