Highest score in the world: 15,070

Apparently some teams at an event in Oklahoma have just scored a MASSIVE 15,070 in Nothing But Net! Along with other scores of 15,045 and 15,010.

It’s on RobotEvents so it must be legit, right?

P.S. This is obviously not actually legit, and I’m sure it’s entirely just test data that the event has (mistakenly) uploaded, but it’s still a good laugh.

Glad you caught that mistake! Though I wonder how many extra balls you would need to make that possible. That score 15070 would be equivalent to 1507 bonus balls. So you would need a launcher to shoot ~12.6 bonus balls per second in the high goal for the whole 2 minutes of the match to achieve a score of 15070. I only wished :stuck_out_tongue:

Totally Legit

It’s definitely not an attainable score, and I’m pretty sure Tournament Manager is meant to limit the number of objects you can enter. RECF may want to check with the EP for this event as I’d assume they’ve done something dodgy to get such a high score entered?

If we do legitimate score, teams 7090A and 7090B just scored 323 points in their quarterfinal match at the American School in Japan event. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like scores have been uploaded to RobotEvents. Hopefully they will posted in the next couple days.

I did note that the bottom of the net was left open. So whether this kind of score is actually attainable is another question.

They uploaded it here

7090A and B also set world records for skills scores.

yea we score around 15090 every once in a while. all we do is sneak balls in from other fields and the refs dont care. and when my unicorn ran at full power, we scored 14 bonus balls in the low goal. then my dog woke me up…

Judging by all of the illegal things I saw on the stream (match loads during auto, etc.) I’m not to sure how legit the skills scores are. They could have been given all 64 balls (60 balls + 4 pre-loads) on one tile.
None the less 310 is very impressive

I agree, there were a few moments when I found myself wondering about a questionable ruling during the live stream.

The Five who are now in 3rd scored 341 in a minute at Waukesha because they thought they could shoot 72 balls from the one tile.

At around 300 points in the net balls do start to bounce out if launched at high velocity so with the net open it definitely affects the legitimacy of a match. Field setup is specified and net closed is part of it.

lol, awesome scores! will be looking to make that score pretty soon… :stuck_out_tongue:

Well now we know who’s going to be winning worlds this year.

Where did 72 come from? Instead of 64? Let alone all from one tile.

300+ is do-able while switching tiles for sure. We are within a few points of that but the skills scores during league events don’t show up until the end of the league, end of January for us. I’m sure others are in the same boat.
