Holding down dump with small motor power

So our dump has a bit more rubber bands than necessary, and it can’t stay on the ground. What is the maximum power (0-127) I can run the motors at without tripping PTCs?

That depends on the amount of stress on the motors. Could you explain the situation a little bit more? Maybe the solution to your problem is with the rubber bands?

The dump moves up slowly when there is no power because of the rubber bands. I want to give power to the motors so that the dump will stay where it is (motors will stall). I heard that if the power is small enough, the PTCs won’t trip.

we found that 5-8 power works well enough and doesn’t seem of effect anything.

15 power works fine for us, but I wouldn’t go any higher than that. I usually would use the smallest amount of power necessary to keep it in position.
