I am trying to support creating a document to help new Event Partners create and setup a competition/tournament at their school. We would like to create a package of materials which can be sent to the school for their competition with a cheat-sheet for how to set up the electronics supporting the day of comps.
Has anybody got a cheat-sheet schematic or list of items required for such a scenario ?
I’d say a list to host a successful event should include :
Raspberry Pi’s to stream
Field control to well control
Good volunteers
Event setup team such as students.
At least 2-3 fields.
Some TV’s to display match schedule.
Every organization’s equipment availability will vary, but I suppose you could look at the scenario of the minimum requirements needed to run an event.

A checklist for setting up the server and field control as shown in the diagram above, with some troubleshooting notes.
Laptops have the advantage of a display that can be turned opposite of a second monitor so refs and audience both see it. I have access to a cart full of laptops, so it costs me more to take the cheaper option of mini computer.
I do think a Pi would be more stable at the task, since my district’s software will not allow you to force laptops to stay awake – I have issues with sleeping laptops losing contact with TM.
