If you are referring to the intake, that is not automatic. The sprockets are both connected to two separate motors.

There, you can see the chain and sprockets used to connect the wheels to the motor. Hope that helps!
To add on to other people’s responses. Their motor distribution is a follows. Two motors on the drivetrain, two on the intake (one on each side) and two for the lift, for a total of 6 motors.
So in the video the robot drives up and the blocks are pushed into the middle. Its the two rubberband circular thingy’s. Think about a tennis ball machine. Its the thing that speeds up and shoots the tennis ball.
Yes you cant run wheels without a motor, they connected two sprockets together with chain on both sides.
