How do you qualify for the world championships?

So my team and I are playing in the Canadian Open VRC qualifiers and I was just wondering how we would qualify for the world championships. Is it only the winner’s that quality or is it like the top 5 teams or something? Does winning the skills competition qualify us or no?

and not sure exactly which event you are competing at, but you can look on the awards page for the event. For example.
