How many actuations should you get out of an air tank

Hey! Just wanted to get an idea of how many piston actuations we should be getting out of our double-acting pistons (down and back being one). At the moment, we get around 7 strong ones. After that, the piston still works for around 5-6 more, but they are noticeably weaker. This is also without any air regulation. Thanks!

So, you should probably install the regulator in the line, then your air cylinders will have much more consistency. Set the pressure to a level that makes your mechanism function properly, but no more. A single air tank typically gives about 20-30 actuations of your air cylinders (counting a double-acting cylinder as two actuations to extend and retract). Be sure to check you whole system for air leaks—use a soap water solution on the fittings, so you don’t lose any air.

(It appears your “piston” works fine, it’s a small moving part inside your air cylinder. You don’t refer to your motors as “armatures” do you? That’s the small moving part inside the motor)

Keep in mind you want to get your your air cylinders up to 100 psi for the most amount of actuations

Alright, thanks. Yea sry about using the wrong terminology haha.

Yes, of course, we are doing that
