Please also read the manual. it will greatly help you in robotics.

94 pts in a Qualification match.

Not quite. Only two mobile goals can be scored in plus corners. I got 82 as the max score for a teamwork match.

@Micahy321 There is also the 6 point autonomous bonus so 88 for a match.

@PandaTurtle 88 pts for a match and 82-85 pts for skills, depending on the Q&A on alliance stakes.

9-10 top rings (27-30)
23 scored rings (23)
4 goals in corners (20)
3 tier hang (12)

While this is a nice idea, it doesn’t work. You can see via the hyperlinks that the one person (probably OP) who clicked on any of your links just skipped straight to the bottom.

If only there was a timer or cooldown to prevent this…

I don’t know if it is better to tell them to find it themselves or do this (I wish I coule spell search correctly in the post. Why can’t we edit anymore)

We need to assume, for a first-time poster, especially, that they may not know the game manual even exists, or they have a brand new teacher/coach who doesn’t know about the existence of a game manual enough to inform their students. Some robotics newbies actually believe that the introductory video is all there is to know about the game. Over the years, there have actually been posters who admit they are too lazy to read the manual, and this usually happens only once before getting flamed by the rest of the Vex community.

To this end, I support answers that include a link to the current game manual, and a note as to where to look in the manual for the answer. Occasionally a clarifying note is needed, especially for the instance where the manual does not tell you everything you might to do or tell you about game strategy.

IMO, the worst thing anyone can do on the Forum is to give an answer, even if correct, without any backup from the game manual. Without a game manual reference, this is just opinion and hearsay.

I kind of like the drop-down technique, but I would post the link to the game manual up front, and go no further than putting the specific game manual reference into the drop-down, but not the actual answer. Perhaps a second drop-down could be a clarification to interpret the game manual if it is a more difficult rule.

Oops. I forgot that. That should be fixed.

This sounds like a good idea. Should I do the same for answers that are in the Q&A?

You say it should be fixed, but surely no one is going to say in a match, “blue got maximum points get maximum points on the scoring app”. All it is is a game manual check.

I have already searched on the high stakes discussion forum, but I found two answers. 88 and 90. I just wanted to clarify. To post any discussion forum, you need to be approved by an admin, is the admin just a bot?

I have no idea. Before posting, I tr to do a quick search in the manual, Q&A, and fourm to check if my question has been answered, but I often miss some rules, entries, or topics so allowing questions like yours to be approved is probably just the admins being not too strict on the rules (imagine not getting your post approved if your spelling and grammer had to be perfect, the question had not already been asked, or the manual has no data about your point!)

Yes. All admins currently and hopefully are humans to my knowledge (remember, we’re still a bunch of random strangers you met online that you’ve never and probably will never meet in real life).

Anyone here labeled “admin” or “moderator” could’ve approved your post. The most common ones I see are jpearman, drow, and bkhal (in that order).

Maximum should be 86, largely depends on the climb level of the robot. The max score should be different if the robot doesn’t have the ability to descore. (sorry for bad handwriting)

The blue ring cannot be scored on the high stake due to RSC4b

At least one red Ring is Scored below the blue Ring on that Stake.

So one fewer red ring can be used as a bottom ring on a mobile goal so the max was 85.

There is also now the update SC9 that gives a 2 point bonus for the hang when the high stake is scored so now 87.

Admins on this board are human. That said, they don’t fact check posts, they mostly screen for content that violates the terms of service.

I totally agree with you. However I believe they might update the blue ring on the high stake. It’s not very wise to have 10 blue ring when only nine of them are available.
Also I’m not really clear ab if the update SC9 is implemented into skill (highly positive ab this), but yea that should be +2 points.
