Our current drive is 450 3.25 with 3 wheels on each side 2 Omni’s one traction.
no one really weighs drive trains, but the robot should be more than 15 pounds for that drive ratio. I believe that the weight of all standard electronics is no more than 8 pounds (motor, radio, brain, battery). So you can keep that in mind.
As long as it performs well to your liking, you should be good.
Gotcha thank you I was just curious bcs I’m testing cad weight to actual and want another source of drivetrain weight (idk what I’m doing)
I’ve never met anybody truly worried about weight, least of all my team (our robot weighs 25lbs) and if you engineer things properly, weight isn’t necessarily a limitation (our robot hangs and we’re working on climbing)
Since the weight is relatively low you’d have to just add the stuff up. But if the CAD is pulling weigh from vex or something it probably is correct.
25lbs climb our t3 was 15lbs
Our drivetrain from August weighed around 5.5 pounds and was 333 rpm on 3.25 inch wheels. Our rebuild drivetrain from 3ish weeks ago was about 6 pounds and was 600 rpm on 2.75 inch wheels.
