How tall are the poles in VRC turning point
the tallest are 34 in
ok thanks
Short are 20 point
In* whoops meant to say that
more than one cap per post?
Doesn’t look like you’d be able to get them to stay on. They sit on top of the posts; they don’t slide over the posts.
I would presume not. The cap’s core (central part of the cap) has to be in direct contact with the pole, so not really a way to score more than 1 cap per pole. Also, short poles are 20" and tall poles are 32".
So there are two types: 34 inches and 20 inches. I don’t know why there are two different sizes since you get the same amount of points.

oh whoops
Maybe so the robots that can reach 20 inches can get to some poles, but the robots that can reach 32 inches have even more of an advantage because they can reach all six posts.
Edit: Number of posts corrected - thanks, @callen!
I’m pretty sure there are six posts.
Download the vex via app and give it a read! You can also meet with scoring. It is legal to center park all 4 robots!
Can you imagine the fight for that though?
Appendix A says that the short pole is 23 inches and the tall pole is 34 inches

@VermontOlympian
I got confused with this too, but the game manual says 32 for the tall one, but the appendix A syas its 34, and so yeah, I don’t know.
I have the actual poles, if I measure it it’s 34
