Hey, sorry for asking a building question, but my team was wondering if we could make a ratchet that engaged after pressing a button, with pneumatics or something else. Our robot has a 4-motor drive, 2 motor dr4b, 1 motor flywheel, and 1 motor intake. (All 11W) We are trying to take advantage of the yellow cap being removed. Thanks!

Thank you, however, I meant a ratchet that would only start being a ratchet when we pressed a button. We want our dr4b to be able to go up and down freely, then be able to ratchet to elevate at the end of the match. Would something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-B-aFoz8Kk drive, but with a ratchet work? Sorry for being unclear.

You probably might have to use a motor to engage a ratchet or use some sort of passive ratchet that engages when the system raises.
Yeah, that should work if you can space it right
