I did this tutorial a few weeks after I got promoted, because I wanted to edit a message. However, the tutorial doesn’t explain how, and I don’t see a way to edit it. I deleted it and restored it, and that’s why is shows 2 edits.
Where’s the button/option to edit the message?
We currently do not allow Posts to be edited.

Editing posts could allow users to more easily cicumvent Forum Rules.

That’s a very good idea, but I would not be banking on it.
One could only marvel at the amount of dedication of forum admins to endure the endless pain of post approval with no end in sight. Good job!

Posting is still a thing, but editing probably won’t come back for a long while.
When the “spellbinding” events happened, I believe people circumvented the rules by initially saying something that got accepted, then editing.
There was also plenty of using Web Archive/Wayback Machine to take advantage of the fact that the edits are saved forever.
