So i am building a 4 motor flywheel and i have run across a question i am fairly certain has not been addressed on the forums yet. is it better to have a flywheel that is geared for extreme distances and then slow the motors according to the distance that you want? or is it better to have the flywheel geared so that the distance that you want is equivalent to the motors at full speed
It’s not just about the gear ratio, but having a high ratio helps. Having a lot of centripetal force and momentum on the flywheel itself is also important.
