Hello, I can easily search this info but I cant find any clear info. We are a nevada team attending nevada state. Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.
Everything related to qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championship can be found here: https://kb.roboticseducation.org/hc/en-us/articles/5474199602071-Qualifying-Criteria-for-VIQRC-VRC-and-VEX-U-Events#local-qualifying-events-PskvG
holy cow that was quick, thanks!
You are a middle school VRC Team. Nevada has five middle school VRC worlds spots. This means that you must win one of the following awards:
- Excellence
- Teamwork Champion
- Robot Skills Champion
- Design Award
https://www.robotevents.com/robot-competitions/vex-robotics-competition/RE-VRC-24-3807.html#awards
If it so happens that a single team wins two of the above awards, then it goes to the top unqualified team from the skills list at the State Event. You can see that in the link that DRow posted above.
There is no Teamwork Champions for VRC, only VIQC
Tournament Champions is what you meant to say.
Now that you’ve gotten some good answers, I’ll be the one to say “the same way you get to Carnegie Hall!”
small drive, lol, we would probroally fly not sure how we would get the robot secured. I HIGHLY doubt we will get into worlds unless we get some awesome teamates.
So, you are going in with an “we’ve already lost” attitude. Don’t do that. What can you contribute?
Okay true I need a wayyyy better attitude. we can prob launch pretty good for our teammate and block the others
Do you have a working autonomous? What can you do to help get the AWP?
yeah we have a winning autonomous, will get us some points
There you go! If you have a good shooter and a good autonomous, you will do fine.
Thanks. We shall see state for us is the 17th and so far its all done we just gotta practice now.
I will see you there. Good luck.
