I have the arm/claw from the legacy V5 Clawbot, but I want to make it able to fold in and out but can’t find a way to make it happen with gears
You can attach the part claw part to a big 60 to 84 tooth gear (where the big red circle is) and attach that to the c-channel.
Next to that gear you can mesh a smaller gear next to it, put a shaft through that and the c-channel, and attach a motor to the other end of the axle on the opposite side of the c-channel.

What do you mean by you want it to be able to “fold in and out”. are you talking folding like this

The first drawing is closer to what ive done, i have a prototype made, it goes up and down like a human arm, a joint like your arm and then a joint like your hand
by that do you mean a combination of the first drawing & the 3rd drawing because in all of the drawings the arm itself still moves on its attachment point I was just drawing the folding part
