So I’m currently in my 3rd year of vex and during the extended spring break I realized how much my team and myself were doing wrong. One of the things I was doing wrong was I never really tried to get involved with building. We have rollers on the robot, but I would like to know how to make them lock in place once they flip out, and not have much wiggle. Can someone help me out please.

you don’t necessarily want your rollers to lock this year. having the ability to pivot gives them more compression and flexibility to descore the center goal actively.

In that case, how do I make them where they will stay in the area they are supposed to?
tension from rubber bands should be enough.

Rubber bands (20 characters)
you basically want some sort of elastic tension and you can achieve that by either use rubber bands or latex tubing.

Although it might be unnecessary, if the information is needed then you can check out Kepler Electronic’s video a while back covering unique locking mechanism designs: Five VEX Locking Mechanisms - YouTube
