How to make the folded tray

Hey Everyone! I am new to VEX EDR and I am struggling about how to make a folded tray for tower-takeover. I’ve tried some rubber bands but it doesn’t really work. I don’t have aluminum so it’s kind of hard to unfold it.

you gussets 45 degree and attach it on each tray then make both of them meet in the middle, that will be the pivot point. Then get stance bars or standoffs and put them on the top and bottom on each side of the trays. when you put the rubber bands, make sure it is around the pivot like a rainbow. then add more rubber bands ans it should work

Also, make sure your joints aren’t too tight, or else the friction might make it hard to unfold

So the rubber bands were too low but it worked
