On this page, I tried clicking on the conversation title, the draft icon, and the Reply button, but none of these enabled me to see or edit my draft.
Last night (see screenshot), I noticed a “Powered by esoTalk” between the “Follow” and “Post a Reply” buttons on the right, although this is no longer visible today. Maybe this misplaced text is related to the problem.
I do have earlier versions of my drafts backed up offline, but I forgot to do this to the current version before saving and closing the draft.
I believe the thread in particular (or at least the one in your screenshot) has been deleted. This is more than likely the reason why you were unable to recover your draft.
(Not to mention, you would not be able to reply in the Official Q&A anyway, as only a few certain people have that access)
For the record, to recover a draft, you must first save it (In the text editor that appears while writing the post). From there, all you would need to do is reopen the thread, or click on the green pencil icon that appears next to it in the main portal. Be sure to save any changes you may have made before closing it again, or else your post will be reverted back to its original state.
The thread in the screenshot was actually my draft of a Q&A question that I was going to ask, but which I never posted. (I found a different question that I wanted to ask, so I saved the draft in the text editor and left the page.)
Is it possible for me to edit a draft that I created in the Official Q&A but never posted?
(If not, all I would need to do is recreate one question from my backup of an earlier draft of it.)
I believe you would need to save the draft with the thread in an open channel. Then, when you’re ready to post, change the channel to the Official Q&A.
