I posted this 24 hours ago under IQ general discussion on accident, oops. Anyway, this was my first ever blender project so don’t hate on it too much :). I have learned a lot and if enough people share, I will re-render so it looks nice and make more game animations. Tell me what you think, any feedback helps!!

Nice work. From 2009 - 2018 RECF actually had a VEX game design animation online challenge. Sadly Dan decided to cut it based on low participation numbers (his words and the educational video challenge was also cut for same reason). If you’re interested in robotics animation spend a moment looking at the past entries starting with.

Over 10 years the tools available for animation have definitely evolved along with readily available computing resource. The 7682E animation was essentially physics engine based with robots moving via sequenced control inputs.
Thats really cool, too bad it got cut. Still, its cool to see what was done.

For me, working in CGI didn’t work out. I was lucky enough to discover this before I dove into it much, only one semester in art school before I saw the light:

Good work, pretty on par with most of the Design a Game Animation entries I’ve seen (I used to make it a point to review each one in detail). Sad to hear that program is gone (news to me).
