I need help!:)

I need a design ideas and sketches of a mechanism that can pull,suck,or some sort of moveable conveyor system that can both pick up single balls and the whole stack it has to be able to do both really fast and realize doesn’t have to do it at the same time it would we hooked on to the end of my angled elevator that should then be brought up to my fly wheel so jus the end mechanism not the elevator thanks a lot

You might consider searching on YouTube for “vex nothing but net” or “vex nbn” match videos, reveal videos, etc. until you see a robot that looks somewhat similar to what you are hoping to do. Then post a question here and indicate or link to the videos you found and ask about that particular mechanism. You can often learn at lot by just watching videos, and often if you can identify a particular team, you can find them on this forum and ask them directly. Not everyone will share (or is able to share) the details of their design, but it’s always a good place to start.

Or, perhaps you can post a sketch on the forum and point to the area on the drawing where you need help. I think right now your question is so open-ended, it’s hard for anyone to know where to start helping you.

I’m kinda confused about your problem. You want it to pick up a whole stack really fast and you want it to realize it doesn’t need to pick up a whole stack at once? Does this mean you want it to have sensors? Or does this mean you want the driver to go up to a stack of balls and grab then 1 by 1? Or does this mean you want to grab the entire stack at one and somehow have them sorted 1 by 1 in the intake? Also where are your sentences stopping?

This segment is the confusing part. Do you want the ball to be to be brought from the ground to an intake already built? Or do you want it brought from the ground to your flywheels? Also, you could try thinking of your own cool ideas that may work better for you and your robot since we have no idea what your robot looks like, or you could post a few pictures and we could find an efficient way to attach it to your current design.

No I just need a idea on a grabbing the balls, I just need it to be able to grab whole stack and sometimes one by the self

A single ball

I think it was 929w (correct me if I’m wrong) who had a pneumatic pop up so it’s intake could get a whole stack of up and a single ball if it’s down look it up on YouTube. You can probably figure a way to do it without pneumatics also

It was team 26 IronWave who showed a pop up intake for entire stack capture.

do you that that is the best way to do it

You could do a pyramid shaped entrance to an intake similar to some intakes in Toss Up. As previously mentioned, a typical top roller intake on a hinge, with pistons below each arm, could pop up, thus allowing you to drive over a stack.
I encourage you to prototype to try and discover new and innovative methods for managing the game pieces this year. Sometimes the best designs won’t be the most innovative, but quite commonly, the builders of the most innovative designs learn the most. And VEX isn’t just about winning, it’s about learning.
