Lots of stuff to marvel at in that video, but all I could think about the whole time was how perfectly the different domino dumps were aligned with each other.

Looking at the webpage with more info, looks like their position data came from a combination of motor-encoder odometry, a Marvelmind “Indoor GPS” sensor (yes, they call it ‘GPS’ too), and a camera on the robot looking at a grid of IR-reflective dots on the floor.

Honestly, really cool that the robot shows a real world example that can be used for projects like this. You could use VEX systems to break world records, not bad
