can you imagine how awesome clear motors would be??, you could easily check the inside of the motor to see if were high speed or high strength and it would look awesome

That’s sweet looking Mark. If you go to shapeways.com you can 3d print things into different materials. Maybe polycarbonate is one of them. They charge bu the quantity of material the product takes, so I would think that the motor housing would be relatively cheap to get. 12B made a mini version of their robot with it

It would be awesome looking to see a clear motor.
I would love it if Vex started making clear motors. Even if it would raise the price slightly, i would be willing to pay for that. Since i heard there was a lot of issues with overheating, maybe if vex motors had small holes in them, they could overheat less. Since typically we avoid having metal shavings, dirt, dust, etc. from being on the robot anyways, i don’t think debris will be a problem.
