Impact of <R9> on new designs

Keep the power button accessible - makes safety and tournament sense as written. Any thoughts on how Robot Inspection is going to “enforce” this rule? (There is a difference between a kid hand and a large adult hand)

It is intended for adults to be able to disable the robot if needed too. The way this usually is enforced is if an average person can stick their hand in there safely and push the power button you are good.

Always feel free to ask an Q&A for an official answer though.

That quote was taken from the v5 manual. Here is from the IQ manual.

Keep the power button accessible. The on/off button on the VEX IQ Robot Brain must be accessible without moving or lifting the Robot. All screens and/or lights must also be easily visible by competition personnel to assist in diagnosing Robot problems.

Be sure to check the label for each topic so you know what game it’s discussing, @djschmit, as there is a difference.
