It’s 1394C here, and we would appreciate some improvements/suggestions for our bot. We have a 400 rpm side roller intake with 22 watts powering it and a 44-watt drivetrain. We are preparing for our state championship on Saturday and aiming to be a descoring bot. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or improvements that could enhance our robot.
What are those big metal bars sticking out of your robot? Those are going to get caught in the goal net.
Also, how well do those side rollers work? I would make the gap between them a bit wider so triballs get intaked easier. Plus the way you cantelivered those flex wheels on your intake makes me nervous.
Add some pneumatic wings to your bot if you can and add those 22w extra watts of motors to your drivetrain. I would also use 5.5w motors on your intake or use 1 motor and use chains & sprockets to connect your intake wheels, then use that extra 11w to make a 77w drivetrain.
I would also add a wedge on the back of your robot to help push triballs over the barrier
Some asthetic stuff: use zip ties to organize your cables, put some polycarb, and hide your axles/rubber bands.
Honestly work on getting a very very consistent Win Point Autonomous that is going to help you rank higher in qualifications better than anything else.
You might want to switch those drive motors to the 36 tooth gears. Your current drive is running at 466 RPM. You would be pushed around easily. I say switch those motors.
It would be useful, but as long as the rest of your robot is well built and you have a good driver, it is not really necessary.
For skills I would recommend you practice bowling though
