Hello, everyone. I have one simple question for you today. Should you use rubber bands for an intake or mini flex wheels? I can spot some advantages/disadvantages for both but I would like to her what you think.
In my experience, I would say that flex wheels work better than rubber bands. Rubber bands tend to not have much traction on the triball and you need to spin it really fast so it has enough momentum. They also have risk of entanglement with other robots.

Although yes they are legal. I’ve seen a team that has one part of their flywheel work as an intake on the ground, and the other part is above it.
We use rubber bands with gripnet attached to it by zipties to increase traction,
