I have seen many different cads, pictures, and videos featuring new robots for this season. However,The question of the best intake is still in my mind.I am deciding between flew wheel intake or rubber band intake.I am asking just to see what the community thinks .
I think Flex wheels are the way to go. Rubberband intakes are fairly large and take up a decent amount of space. The Herobot has a good intake design. Something similar to that is pretty good.
- fly wheel
- rubber band
- something else (reply or like someone else’s)
Flywheels intakes ought to be interesting… (do you mean flex wheels?)
Also I’m using a combination of both :))
I am using an intake with flaps that pick the gems up vertically, I am trying to make the intake take up less space horizontally.
I say flex wheels for the bottom to get over the loader lip. then rubberbands for the rest of the way up.
Flex wheels have been the best intake for 3 years since their implementation. I don’t think this year will be any crazy exemption.
Rubber bands tangle
I do agree, think think that a floating flex wheel intake would be viable this year, but I still think that rubber bad intake tops it just because of its ability to easily match load
