So our team is building this intake below. We are using 6t high strength sprockets. Each time we tried to pick up a ring it would get caught between the ground and the axle. Does anybody know how to fix this? We tried to raise the axle up but it’s not low enough to intake the ring. Also, the 200rpm motor have to spin faster, how do I do that?
Could you send a picture of your hooks? The shape of the hook itself will impact how you pick up, we found bending polycarbonate around a ring with a heat gun to work well. As for the speed, just use a 600 rpm (blue) motor.

I agree you do want to use a blue motor but also make it so there is minimal friction

We put a 3 inch screw through a pillow block. We gave it some tuning and used a 600rpm motor like you said and it worked really well but we still need a mogo clamp.
You had better check rule <R21a>
