Intentional entanglement

If someone is purposely trying to get tangled onto a teams tether they entire match and succeed, is it the wallbot fault? Thanks.

If you take a look at g12 you are not allowed to do strategies aimed solely at entanglement.

That is hard to say. Cannot force someone into a rules violation, but defensive strategies must expect higher scrutiny and aggressive play. IMO it would fall entirely on a subjective decision by the refs. I do not think anything in the rules would allow you to argue one way or the other against the decision of the head ref.

If you were to argue “They intentionally entangled themselves.” The ref could answer “True, but you should have built your bot to be impossible to create entanglement.”

Ya… imo that’s a dumb argument but I’ve seen it happen tons of time.
