I have a Gen 1 robots. One will power on and then shut down about 2 seconds later. Multiple batteries tried including ones working on another robot moments before to isolate the issue. Ran firmware update nothing. New condition found. Robot will stay on if plugged into a USB i.e. to program of update.
You’ll get the answer quickest by talking to tech support since it’s about the products themselves rather than solving a robotics challenge.

Yes!!! Any and all hardware issues, call VEX tech support. They have seen it all, diagnosed them all, and the only group that can get hardware problems fixed.
Thanks everyone. Tech Support didn’t have a novel solution. I’ll just hope it remains an anomaly.
