I have 60+ of these, so at least for the next few moments they will be able to get help.
- Make sure you have a good USB cable
- Disconnect all of the motor/sensors as @Quail_Pepper suggested.
- Run the update on the base brain and see if that goes.
- If that fails, follow these instructions from 2015 to reset the brain. I’d do the simple one that deletes all the programs. If that doesn’t work then the full factory reset. (Vex IQ Reset - #2 by Art_Dutra_IV)
- If that fails, then you are out of luck.
- One by one connect the sensors/motors to Port 1. On the VEXOS program, right click the device and force the update to it.
Hopefully you’ll write back in a day and say “Success”
I have had devices that hang the port bus / and or just show up as a pushbutton. If they don’t recover then toss them.
