Yes there is a motor and everything plugged in like normal but message “Program uses a motor that is not equipped with hardware” doesn’t seem to go away we tried everything
have you run the VEXosutility recently?

Check the “motor & sensor” configuration in RobotC.
There is a motor listed that is not on the actual robot.

there are really only a few coaches on IQ forum, not many students. It fills up with SPAM almost every morning so it has turned into a pretty big pain to actually stay and help. But, vex has a lot on their plate with V5, so we can complain later when they have time to fix it 
As an alternative to the IQ forum for conversation and help other than official Q&A rulings, you could look at facebook for the VEX IQ group, and the VEX IQ World Wide Coaches Association.
