As a middle school team if i code a 23 point auton and because my drivers can sometimes be hard to deal with if i set it up to go when i just hit A and get a total of 46 points for skills would that be a good run, and the goal is to score one ring and put all 4 in the mobile goals and using a arm to get the rings out of the way
in middle school that would be a pretty solid run though if you code a 23 your driver should do better with the same bot. IDK about your region but in my event region that would put you in 3rd in MS skills
Not sure I understand. A 23 points skills auton is definitely good. But do you mean start the driver run with a 23 point auton and then let the driver drive the rest? Or do you mean 46 combined where you run auton for driver and you get 23*2 points? Anyways, yes that is fine.
As for how to improve it, first is it consistent? If not, look into ways to fine tune it before you code more like a PID. Then watch some skills matches on YouTube to get some ideas for routes, or just choose your own. I don’t know your robot’s capabilities but I’m sure you could start with scoring one ring on each goal you place in the corner to make it 32 points.
