Is a human robot legal?

So yeah, just add a brain, battery, and radio and pretend like the controller is actually doing something and you’re good to go

No one has friends in VEXU… Seriously? No time for that in this cut throat competitive world.

AND if it is a real “friend” it is intended for competitive event use… why else would they be at a VRC event???

If he were to put a v5 brain and battery and his lap and hold onto some plates and mybe a piece of c channel, then you would consider him a non functional decoration

Now I want to threaten to duct tape a team member who isn’t contributing to the robot and call them a non-functional decoration.

Quick someone put this in the best vex quotes

Can this team member lay down in the field and “accidentally” block other team’s way? Best wall bot ever.

No expansion limit. As long as they are prepared for a robot to viciously attack them you should be good.

Just lay down and take a nap for the rest of the match. Lol. Just gonna need a few band-aids afterwards…

Better hope the 2 edges the judges felt during inspection were the sharpest ones.

Just gonna get some sandpaper before the competition, nothing to see here…

*passes out, falls on field

drive team decides the unconscious body on the field makes a good wallbot and keeps the match going

They have to pass inspection first.

What if you made armor and a sword out of some steel and aluminum?
Inspector: That’s not a robot
Team: uhhhh its a transformer

I think it probably wouldn’t after all there is

G3 Use common sense. When reading and applying >the various rules in this document, please remember that common sense always applies in the VEX Robotics Competition.

There is also

S1 If at any time the Robot operation or Team actions are deemed unsafe or have damaged the Field
Elements or Cubes, the offending Team may be Disabled and/or Disqualified at the discretion of the
referees. The Robot will require re-inspection before it may again take the field.

The judges cant even see him because it is 2D!

Put the friend on a 18x18 borderless TV and have the TV powered by the V5 brain and it would be a legal nonfunctional decoration. :ok_hand: As many know, I have many 2D friends myself

I think the closest you could get to that is to build a humanoid robot which would be VERY cool.

um wait how does he fit into 18’

i dont think it would pass motor stress testing

But that’s a Vex Pro part. The game manual specifies that the robot must be made of Official Vex parts.
