Is there a forum for tournamment officiating questions?

I help out officiating at all the local tournaments, big and small. I have some minor Q’s re Tech inspection, and wether the documentation on the vexrobotics Event Management page is currrent for this year or not.

Is there a seperate forum for these types of Q’s? I don’t wan’t to bug Jason Morella or others for every leetle detail, and I don’t think these issues are appropriate for the general forum.

(My burning question of the moment is if the documentation at https://vexforum.com/wiki/index.php/Event_Management is current for this year? Such as the Judges handbook, etc. They look like last years, which should certainly still be good?, but I want to know before wasting a lot of printer ink. Like, you still have the Elevation game Inspection Checklist up on the Event Mgmt page, but there’s a new, different Inspection Checklist for the RoundUp game.)

Also, last year, Jason said there was going to be a distro of the “Products” section of the VEXRobotics website for Inspection teams to familiarize themselves with the legal hardware & parts. And for reference, and dispute resolution. And for inspector training at events where there’s no wifi for them to look at the website.

Did that ever happen? Will/when there be one with the new additional parts for this year?

Specifically the new Inspector’s Guide for Round Up was just published last week. It includes guidelines for both Crystal and VEXnet events.

In terms of questions regarding inspection and referees, the best option is always the public Q&A. This way the entire community can benefit from the answer to your question. If you have an issue that you don’t think is appropriate for the public forums, you can post it at the event partner forum which all event partners are given access to when they create their events.
