We’re gearing up for Worlds, and part of that is watching as many videos as we can to get an idea of designs across the world, just to see if anyone came up with something we missed.
As a team, we’ve seen basically everything on Youtube, we watched most of the NZ Nationals, and we’re ready to watch the British Columbia Regionals, the West-Atlantic Regionals, and US Nationals this weekend as they happen. That’s going to give us a good sample of teams, but leaves us without any ideas what is coming out of South Korea, China, Japan, or any European country other than the United Kingdom (which we’ll watch next weekend).
So, I guess my question is; What are we missing? Is there some secret repository of videos that I haven’t found yet? I don’t care if I can understand the announcers, I just want to see the robots.
Are at least the Skills and Programming record-holding runs online somewhere? That would be something.
Some teams don’t like to show their videos to the public or can’t upload them to YouTube (I.E. China). YouTube is pretty much it. Unless you’re willing to scour the web for obscure Chinese websites.
I know that we aren’t posting anything that we’ve done for that very reason.
Yeah, I forgot that China had that block up. We found some of the stuff from Chinese competitions on YouTube last year, though, so it’s not impossible.
While one of our members were surfing online for vex sack attack videos, we came up on this website: 土豆-召唤全球优秀短视频
It probably has every vex sack attack video ever posted anywhere. Enjoy
You can just continue to scroll down and press the button on the bottom to view more videos. I think the chinese teams made this video repository since youtube is not allowed in china.
